The Nature of Life

Looking up...

Have you ever noticed how little time people spend looking up? Admittedly the odd aeroplane or perhaps the occasional passing Eiffel Tower would grab the average human attention, but seriously, how much of your own town or city do you actually notice above the level of the ground floor?

Bird Crap...

Ever been crapped on by a bird? The feathered variety I mean. It's incredible really how one seagull can manage this feat if you are the only person around. Unless of course, they intended to do it. It helps if you pay attention to the above point and look up occasionally!

Noses...

I have noticed that very often, other people's noses appear to be bent at a funny angle when you look at them in a mirror. You both have to be looking in the same mirror at the same time. Does my nose appear to be bent to them as well, or am I just a very strange man?

Sound barrier...

If a branch on a tree breaks off and nobody is there to hear it, did the tree make a sound at all? This one has been hotly debated. Make up your own mind.

Dog food...

How do people who have pets know that these animals enjoy the food they are given? Naturally they can't really tell us except to give us the occasional lick or wag of the tail. If it doesn't look or smell nice to us, how do we know they will like it? Ever tried a dog biscuit? Why wrinkle your nose up, after all you'll happily give it to your cherished pets without further consideration! Perhaps you should try it yourself.

Odd Socks...

Ever found that you have a drawer full of odd socks? Where on Earth do they all go? One consolation is that you can match all the odd ones to make a pair of sorts, especially if they are all one colour. If you find this sock mountain, please let me know.

Pick It Up...

If you see a coin on the floor, do you have a minimum amount that you are willing to stoop to collect? Do you draw the line at 10p and leave all the brass where it is or will you collect anything you see? I suppose that if you want something that costs £2.50 and you have £2.49, the extra penny is a gift.
